Paris Rally - 2005
Ottawa
Section
CVMG
The 33rd Annual CVMG Rally was held at the fairgrounds, Paris, Ontario between June 17th and June 19th 2005.

The Ottawa section was well represented. The brave souls who rode their bikes were Don Cutts - 1976 Triumph
Bonneville, Patrick Hampson - 1966 Triumph Trophy (included 38 miles in a U-haul truck from Highway 7 west of
Sharbot Lake to Kingston), Brian Given - 1985 BMW, and Frank Tetzlaff on a
2005 Harley Davidson. We will
forgive Frank for not taking one of his 35 older bikes, but I'm sure
Don will have a word to say in the newsletter
report from the section. Other members who attended with bikes included Brian Wigmore - 1965 Norton, Brian
Morrison - Norton Commando, Stan Johnson - 1959 Matchless, Nigel Baker - 1969 Triumph Bonneville, Brian
Baker 1953 Triumph Thunderbird, Leighton Brown was there, I can't remember if he had his BMW. The Ottawa
section tent in Paris was easily identified by the large glass and tin pyramid by the bikes. It didn't need a sign like
the other sections. As you can imagine there was jovial hospitality and much fun and games (such as removing
spark plug leads from bikes to induce kick starting exercise.

Patrick's pictures give a flavour of the event.
