2007 was a sad year for the Ottawa Section, losing 3 members.

Jim Hunter, Bob Guzzo, and John Clarke - they are deeply missed

Jim Hunter - CVMG Charter member - held the annual BBQ, for the Ottawa and Montreal CVMG Sections,
and also invited the Norton owners group. Jim wrote an article about "The Last Ariel"
Jim also wrote about the Marmalade Norton and his Sunbeam, which he has since sold, with the new owner
winning first prize at a the Delta Rally 30 minutes after the sale was completed. Check out Jim's tales of the
Fatherland from his younger days and The Way We Were.

Jim was the inspiration for a new Ottawa section trophy called the "Jim Hunter Masterbuilder Trophy" to be
awarded to the person who has accomplished the greatest degree of excellence in a personal restoration
project on a vintage motorcycle. Watch out for more details.

We have dedicated a page to Jim Hunter

Bob Guzzo - CVMG Charter member - had personally owned about 250 motorcycles, has been a racer on
Gold Stars and other exotica, as well as various Italian and Spanish bikes. He was a dealer, and  dabbles in
the odd sale to his final days. He was a certified old bike valuer - with emphasis on the certified.

We have a page of dedications to Bob Guzzo

John Clarke, Boysie to his friends, was a long term builder of racing machines. He died suddenly enjoying
the company of his many friends, including Bob Guzzo, at a lunchtime get together in Manotick.

'76  two-stroke road bike (GT500B) and early GSX 750 combined with a couple of mid- '70s Yamahas , a recent
cafe racer restoration.  No Kawasaki's yet but an early racer or 2-stroke might be possible....or maybe something
British..????
