After Breakfast Ride to Winchester Antique Auto Fair - August 7th 2005
|

As part of the after breakfast melee outside Local Heroes on Sunday August 7th 2005, Don Cutts came up with
the bright idea of riding to see Zeik, who lives in the Williamsburg area. Very quickly Patrick Hampson, Steve
Wlodarczyk, Bob "Shiny" Booth, "Shiny Shiny" Bob, and Brian Given were on our way.
As usual the more reliable machinery Brian on his BMW and Steve on his Harley were the rearguard, just in case
the Triumphs, BSA, and older Harley decided it didn't want to maintain the pace.
It was a beautiful day, sun shining and quiet roads. We met Zeik with his 39 Harley Shovelhead, and decided to
go to the Antique Auto fair in Winchester. Shiny Shiny Bob had to leave early so he wasn't able to join us at the
fair. The photos below show the group, the bikes and the cars.
After the show, we said our fairwell to Zeik, and we rode back to Ottawa.
About 3 miles from Leitrim, Don Cutts Triumph started to run on one cylinder. The roadside diagnostics proved it
to be a bad coil, and the plan was for Don to limp to the Tetzlaff mansion and store the bike there. Miraculously
the bike started running on both cylinders, but the proximity to Frank's cave loaded with Triumph goodies was too
much to ignore and a spare coil was obtained. Coil in hand Don and Brian rode to Don's house for further parts
changing, refreshments, and conversation
